I am from Taiwan (National Taiwan University) and can speak not so good German. I had found the Information for the Famulatur in Klinikum im Friedrichshain. I found it perfect and unbelievable good. There is not only great atmosphere here, but also nice People who are willing to teach and help me. They were very friendly and would tell you kindly even if you had made some mistakes or could not speak so good German.
The most important part of the Famulatur was that you could try everything you want. I helped with Obduktion and Zuschnitt. Most of the time i was a observer, but i could do myself when processing classical cases. For example, appendicitis, placenta, cholecystitis, etc. By Obduktion I helped with cutting the vessels of lungs and other documents. You may ask more if you can speak German well, but it is already a lot things to do for me. In the afternoon i learnd the world under microscope with the Chefarzt. He is relaxed and glad to tell everything and answer every question asked.
By the way, i also went to other part of vivantes: Am urban and Neukölln. People there are also nice to me
Because the Assistanzarzt will routinely change from one to another part of vivantes. you can try to find Marius, Susannen, Linda, Syvian. They are willing to help everything for everyone.
Summary:
1. Working time: one can decided.
2. Work: Zuschnitt (most of them are classic or from OBG/HNO/Colorectal surgery) and Obduktion (both of fetus and adult). many chances to help and practice.
3. Learning: microscopieren mit den Chefarzt. There wont be any proble even you forget much of your pathology
Bewerbung
6 month via E-Mail to the Chefarzt before the Famulatur. There is no other Famulant in Juli, so maybe later is no problem at all for this time.
